#EatLifeBalance in Everyday Life

Exercise in everyday life

Your body is constantly changing. For good or for bad. You are constantly sending signals to your body with the things you eat, the way you sit and the environment surrounding you. A healthy body interacts with these signals and your organism itself adapts to your lifestyle. The decisions you make every day have an impact on how comfortable you feel in your own skin, how your body looks to the outside world and how easy you find exercise. If you’re not happy, make a change. You’re in control.

Make exercise a habit

Your body needs exercise to function effectively and stay healthy. That’s why people who work in offices in particular should try to incorporate exercise into their everyday lives.

You’ll have to keep reminding yourself to indulge in a spot of exercise for the first few days and weeks, but your body will soon thank you for your effort.

Just wait and see: exercise is truly addictive!

EXERCISE PUTS A SPRING IN YOUR STEP - EVEN AT WORK!

Painful neck and an empty brain? Then it’s time to take a break and revive yourself. Scientific studies show that people who move about work more productively!

Micro movements are the way to fine-tune your body.

These movements include consciously shifting your weight – when standing up or sitting down, for example – in order relieve certain areas of your body.

How to prevent tension and pain in the back:

draw your belly button slightly towards your spine and gently draw your shoulders back and down, keeping your spine straight as if it were pulled up by a string. And now hold it there! The more often you do it, the easier this exercise will be!

How to prevent tension and pain in the neck:

lift your hand onto your forehead and carefully build up the pressure with the help of your neck muscles. Press your forehead against your hand. IMPORTANT: you’re doing it right if an observer can’t tell you’re making any movements. You should try to avoid any jerky and sudden movements.

Eye workout:

when we work at a computer, the muscles in our eyes get used to constantly focusing on things at close range. Keep these important muscles in good working order by regularly looking out of the window or moving your eyes around in circles.

Take time out

Restful sleep and the right kind of relaxation are essential components of a healthy lifestyle and a positive attitude towards life. The rest alone will allow you to maintain a balance all the different areas of your life in the long run. With a couple of simple tips, you can integrate relaxation into your everyday with absolutely no stress whatsoever.

NO LAPTOPS OR SMARTPHONES IN BED!

When was the last time you decided to go without any electronic devices after dinner? Well it’s high time you did! Admittedly, it can be hard to ‘switch off’ to begin with – some people even experience real withdrawal symptoms. But if you stick with it for a couple of days, you’ll notice an improved quality of sleep and life in general. Still can’t do it? Then switch everything off at least 20 minutes before you go to bed.

IT´S VERY SIMPLE:

MINI RELAXATION EXERCISES FOR THE OFFICE

People who master the art of instant meditation can find relaxation and ground themselves in just a few seconds at any time of day. This kind of mediation helps with stress, anxiety, worries and sleeplessness. It is important to make sure you also perform the exercises at times when you feel relaxed and calm, as it is vital that you consciously experience the feeling of relaxation they create.

HOBBIES AND SPORT CREATE BALANCE

It can be difficult to find a new hobby. After all, not every hobby is suited to everyone. It often takes time to discover a new hobby because this frequently involves trying out different things. And sometimes you can’t tell straight away whether a new activity is something you really find enjoyable and relaxing. Some people get their relaxation from birdwatching or knitting, while others need action and prefer to spend their time mountain biking or climbing. The more you try, the greater the likelihood that you’ll find an activity that you’re going to enjoy in the long term and that will bring you balance.

(LEARN TO) COOK HEALTHILY

Some people think cooking is an annoying everyday chore, while others see it as an exciting hobby that allows them to keep improving and learning new things. Cooking is a real craft – it isn’t regarded as a skilled occupation for any old reason. If you make the effort to completely relearn the art of cooking and are open to new, unfamiliar techniques and ingredients, you’ll be rewarded with delicious tasting dishes and, importantly, with the gratitude of your friends and family.

HUMAN BEINGS ARE CREATURES OF HABIT

The human body needs a certain amount of routine and ritual to function effectively. If you’re accustomed to healthy routines, such as a walk in the morning or the evening, you’ll notice that your body adapts completely to this extra exercise. If you miss the walk, you feel listless and jittery. Rituals are often something very individual or even private, and they can have to do with exercise, peace and quiet, eating meals, work habits or social contact.
