Warm Stewed Apples in a Fruity Sauce

Serves four

4 organic apples (sour and firm, e.g. Elstar)
80 g walnuts or other nuts
1 tbsp Allos agave syrup (for caramelising the walnuts)
125 g raisins
100 ml apple juice
2 tbsp honey (e.g. Allos acacia honey)
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
Half a glass of Allos Frucht Pur elderberry (alternatively: Allos Frucht Pur blueberry)
Vanilla ice cream

Peel the apples, remove the core and cut into cubes. Caramelise the walnuts in a pan with the Allos agave syrup.

Heat up the rest of the ingredients in a pan, then add the pieces of apple and gently simmer for 15 minutes. 

Serve the hot stewed apples on a plate together with the ice cream and the caramelised walnuts.
